R.A.W Media Presents WCW 'Saturday Night Classics' - Bobby Eaton Edition (Playlist)

Here at R.A.W Media we love nothing more than classic, mid to late 90's, Pro Wrestling 'B' and 'C' shows!!!

There's no greater 'B', and later 'C', show than World Championship Wrestling's 'Saturday Night' from 1997 to 2000!!!

As any true NWA/WCW historians know the show's roots actually date all the way back to 1971 with Georgia Championship Wrestling's self titled show before becoming 'World Championship Wrestling' which was hosted by GCW, WWF (though they didn't last long), Jim Crockett Promotions and WCW, between 1982 - 1992, until the re-branding to WCW 'Saturday Night'!!!

What started off as the promotions flagship programme ended up, by around mid to late '96, becoming their secondary show after 'Nitro' started becoming WCW's main show for the companies bigger storylines, and angles, such as the the formation of the nWo in the Summer of '96!!!

Once 'Thunder' was added to the mix, in 1998, 'Saturday Night' was bumped down to 'C' show status!!!

Unlike 'Nitro' and 'Thunder' this show, between 1997 - 2000, wasn't centered around storylines and was more around random matches as well as featuring talent who just weren't considered significant enough for their two main television shows!!!

Sounds kind of sad however it was actually a nice little break from the world of of 'WCW vs. nWo', and the 'Monday Night Wars' with the WWF, and exposed us to talent, old and new, that just couldn't get any time on 'Nitro' or 'Thunder'!!!

R.A.W Media have decided to celebrate 'Saturday Night', from between that period, by putting together playlists highlighting the unsung heroes of the show!!!

To kick it off we've decided to start with matches from the only man who could claim to have competed on both JCP's 'World Championship Wrestling' and WCW's 'Saturday Night' and that's, the late, 'Beautiful' Bobby Eaton!!!

Bobby wrestled for JCP/WCW from 1985 to 2000 which, in itself, is a pretty incredible run but by the later part of the 90's Bobby became a staple of 'Saturday Night'.

So ladies, and gentlemen, check out the first of our WCW 'Saturday Night Classics' playlists on the R.A.W Media YouTube channel - WCW 'Saturday Night Classics' - Bobby Eaton Edition

R.I.P Bobby!!!
