We are back with another special edition of 'The R.A.W Report' taking it back to the year 1995!!  That year saw the WWF hit one of it's worst financia, and creative, years ever whilst, it's competitor, WCW continued to build such momentum that they were given a prime time slot on TNT for 'Monday Nitro'!!!  ECW continued to make noise, and shake up the landscape of Pro Wrestling, with both classic hardcore and scientific matches not seen anywhere else at the time (well, except for in Japan but you had to be a tape trader back then to really know that). The world of Rap/Hip-Hop was beginning to go into full battle mode with the 'East Coast vs. West Coast' beef starting to heat up with, Death Row Records CEO, Suge Knight throwing a diss towards, Bad Boy Records CEO, Puff Daddy at that year's 'Source Awards'!!!  But 1995 was more than on stage bickering, between two label executives, as artists such as Raekwon and Mobb Deep were dropping timeless...

Pro Wrestling is choreographed and is designed to create moments for fans through story telling. There truly is no art form like it.  Whether it's a match that makes you appreciate the athletic, sports like, aspect of it or something that's just outrageously entertaing it's all about providing you with a moment and, when it's all over, it will have you talking about it days, months or even years after it's happened. The 'Hardcore Icon', and ECW legend, The Sandman decided for his farewell to go down the outrageous route in the form of a match against The Invisible Man at Joey Janela's 'Spring Break X' event, for Game Changer Wrestling, on April 17th. For the more "Pro Wrestling is an athletic sport" fan this match was a slap in the face to the business however for the real fans, that appreciate EVERYTHING Pro Wrestling has to offer, this was absolute perfection. ...

It's a new year and, after 6 months away, R.A.W Media is back on Blogger!!! We've switched our format (focusing more on classic Rap/Hip-Hop and Pro Wrestling, profiles and interviews) and what a better way to kick things off than with a special edition of 'The R.A.W Report' taking it back to the year 1994!!! A year that saw New York regain its prominence within the Rap/Hip-Hop landscape and the Pro Wrestling industry being shaken up by Ted Turner's WCW and a little group from Philadelphia called ECW!!! As he finally ends his in ring career R.A.W Media takes a look back on, the legendary, Sabu's classic 90's run in which he became an underground phenomenon in the world of Pro Wrestling!!! Competing in a number of different promotions (such as ECW, WWF, WCW, NWA, FMW and more) Sabu always took his unpredictable nature with him and had crowds wanting more of the insanity he brought with him!!! Whether you read about him in issues of Pro Wrestling Illustrated, saw his matches through tape traders or caught his brief appearances on national television Sabu's game changing style made you want to dig deeper and in a pre-internet era you really did have to dig deep to find more on him!!! The ECWA have been continuing to upload a number of classic Tri-State Wrestling Alliance matches, from the vault, on their YouTube channel, over the last few weeks, ahead of the TWA's upcoming 'One And Done' show on May 3rd at the 2300 Arena!!! This match up though defines TWA's position as the true originators of hardcore, in Philadelphia, before ECW came into existence, in 1992, as future legends Cactus Jack and Eddie Gilbert face off in a crazy 'Falls Count Anywhere' match and truly take it to the EXTREME!!!  Also make sure to catch their 'Steel Cage' match that was also uploaded, by ECWA, recently as well!!!  Watch the full match here -  Cactus Jack vs. Eddie Gilbert - Falls Count Anywhere

The WWE Vault drops another outstanding compilation mixtape this time in the form of classic Terry Funk matches, promos and found footage!!!  This mixtape is literally 4-hours of Funk footage from his tenures in WWF, WCW, ECW and other promotions over his storied career!!!  This is real treat for those, like us, who miss the Pro Wrestling legend, who passed away in 2023, and everything he did for the business!!!  There will NEVER be another Terry Funk!!!  Watch the mixtape here -  WWE Vault Presents Terry Funk: 4-Hours Of Funk Mixtape (Video)

As the countdown to Tri-State Wrestling Alliance's 'One And Done' continues the East Coast Wrestling Association grab another TWA classic out the Vault for their official YouTube channel!!! This time we are treated to a 'Rookies Match' between two youngsters that would go on to become ECW legends The Sandman (or Mr. Sandman in this case) and J.T. Smith!!! With Tri-State Wrestling Alliance's 'One And Done' event coming up in May, at the 2300 Arena', the time has come to remind people what the TWA was all about!!! The East Coast Wrestling Association are using their YouTube platform to crack open the TWA vaults and show some classic footage from the company that opened the doors for the birth of Eastern Championship Wrestling!!! To get things started we are treated to a 'Hair vs. Hair' match from two ECW Original Originals Johnny Hotbody and Tony Stetson!!!
