Chucky Edwards Presents Chucky's Report #1 - Mrs. Rhymes!!!

Welcome back to 'Chucky's Report' and it's back even bigger, and better, than ever before.

Plus at a brand new home here at R.A.W Media, which I'm extremely honoured that they are giving me this opportunity.

So the musician that I am starting this new era with is the legendary Mrs Rhymes.

You may be asking yourself but wasn't that the artist I started with, back in the day, and the answer is yes but I still believe she deserves more shine than she currently gets as she is truly an amazing person with so much talent.

I may have said it in my original 'Chucky's Report', on Mrs Rhymes, but one of the things I truly love is that she is extremely versatile with the music she creates. This could be hard hitting bars, story telling tracks or touching upon emotional topics.

She has had so many classic songs including the likes of 'Be Somebody', 'Hatin' On Me' and 'Beheaded'. Plus we can't forget she created, UK Pro Wrestler, Mustafa Khan's the entrance music alongside other Rippin Rhymes vets.

On top of this I owe so much to Mrs Rhymes when it comes to my own music and knowledge of writing lyrics.

If it wasn't for her taking time out to offer feedback, and advise on how to improve, I may have never written as much as I have.

I'm genuinely blessed to have had her in my corner and for being an amazing friend for all these years.

For this next segment I will be conducting a small interview with Mrs. Rhymes to dive into what got her into music and what inspires her.

Chucky Edwards - My first first question for you is what got you into creating music and what has been your inspiration throughout your journey?

Mrs. Rhymes - I have always loved writing poetry and when we made the Rippin Rhymes page, I was telling people they should try and turn their lyrics into proper songs and they told me to take my own advice so I did.

My inspiration comes from everywhere, what ever is going on in my own life, the world or just how an instrumental makes me feel and the topic it deserves.

CE - What has been the biggest highlight of your musical adventure?

MR - Meeting so many wonderful people. I have had the pleasure of meeting some of the most beautiful minds in music and those who have been in my corner from the beginning, like yourself, and for that I feel blessed.

CE - So this is a two part question. Firstly what has been your favourite track to work on? And secondly what was the most difficult song to make?

MR - My favorite track is 'My Soul'. I have always loved the spiritual songs that makes you question yourself and if your taking the right path for you. The most difficult would have to be the songs I made for predator catchers because I knew of the pain, and suffering, of so many children and the evil of this world and writing those makes you realise just how much of it there is.

CE - If you were to achieve your dream collaboration which artist would this be with?

MR - I would love to work with Krayzie Bone, from Bone Thugs N Harmony, as I have always been inspired by his music. I love his voice and how he flows so smoothly over any beat.

CE - So for the final question I just want to quickly ask do you have any future plans when it comes to releasing music or anything on the Rippin Rhymes side of things?

MR - I do have some tracks I was working on before I took a break from music. Maybe someday I will get around to releasing them but for the minute I have no plans to returning to music as life is so busy these days I can't give it the focus it deserves.

I want to say a massive thank you to Mrs Rhymes for answering my questions.

So to conclude this instalment of 'Chuckys Report' I will leave you with one of my all time favourite tracks, from Mrs Rhymes, called 'My Soul' that features Lost Angel of Havik and Shorty Mic.

Thank you for taking you time to read the first edition of 'Chucky's Report, on R.A.W Media, and be sure to show Mrs Rhymes some love.

Until next time keep on supporting the awesome artists out there and stay blessed.
