Chucky Edwards Presents Chucky's Report #5 - Shorty Mic, Havik and Aitch!!!

What's good everybody and welcome back to a brand new edition of 'Chucky's Report'!!!

This month I thought I would do something a little different. Instead of spotlighting a single artist I want to share a few songs, and artists, I have been enjoying recently.

So what better way to start than highlighting someone I have had the pleasure of following, for over 10 years now, called Shorty Mic.

Shorty Mic has had an illustrious journey in music. Whether it's been creating dope albums or opening shows for the likes of D-12, Merkules and many more amazing artists.

He is always in the rotation of artists I listen to regularly and over the last two months he has released a few bangers including 'Rest In Peace' and 'Illest Emcee'.

The way he is able to construct songs comes across like it is easy for him. This is due to the confidence he portrays in his voice and I also personally feel he has some of the best hooks in the game as they remind me so much of the rap music I grew up loving. Then on top of that he delivers hard hitting bars on every verse.

The track that I'm going to feature today is called 'Illest Emcee'.

This track in my opinion shows exactly why he is, genuinely, one of the illest MC's out there today.

It blows my mind he doesn't get the shine that he truly deserves. This song is incredible and so easy to vibe to. Be sure to check it out and show some love!!!

I will be sure to do a full 'Chucky's Report' for Shorty Mic in the near future.

From one lyrical powerhouse to a group of them.

Next I will be featuring a group who go by the name Havik.

Havik are currently signed to Harmony Howse and released the deluxe version of their project 'Infinity' in 2022 which features hits such as 'Havik Gang' and 'Wake Em Up'.

Recently they have released a track called 'Peter Parker' and, without a shadow of doubt, they absolutely killed it.

All of their styles merge together perfectly creating a sound that is so easy to listen too and leaves you wanting more.

I really hope this is a sign of what's to come and I really hope we get a new album soon and, if we do, I will be sure to cover it here.

Be sure to check out 'Peter Parker' and show Havik some love!!!

Now last, but certainly not least, I am featuring a UK artist by the name Aitch.

Aitch has had some absolute classics such as 'My G', 'Psycho' and the original 'Straight Rhymez'.

I can't say I've always been a fan of Aitch as, if I'm being honest, I've not really followed his music that closely however when his song 'My G' came out, which features Ed Sheeran, I fell in love with it instantly and that made me want to listen to more from him.

Over time I became more of a fan of his work and would make sure I checked out any new releases of his.

For this edition I will be talking about his song 'Straight Rhymez 2'.

This track is nothing but pure bars, all the way through, which highlights that he's still got it and can murder any beat at any point. I really enjoy his delivery on this one and genuinely feel his flows on it. Aitch's delivery is so unique and not something a lot of artists can imitate.

I would love to do a main feature for Aitch, in the future, but it would certainly take some doing.

In the meantime though be sure to check him out and show some love.

As we conclude this edition of 'Chucky's Report' I would like to thank you for taking time to read it.

I know it is different from my usual style but hope you enjoyed it.

Until next time continue to show love to all the hardworking artists out there and stay blessed.
