WCW Vault Presents 'WCW vs. nWo in 1996' (Mixtape)

WWE's 'WCW Vault' YouTube channel has taken it back to the year 1996 (more specifically the second half of it) to relive the beginning of the 'WCW vs. nWo' war that changed Pro Wrestling forever!!!

To some modern day fans it can be difficult to truly explain how significant the war between WCW and the nWo was to the landscape of the business at the time and even how this moment in time would go on to change the future of it as well.

Watching this compilation mixtape really does bring back memories of when Pro Wrestling was fresh and truly unpredictable which is something the modern day scene is missing!!!

Watching Hulk Hogan, the industries biggest babyface at the time, drop a leg drop on 'Macho Man' Randy Savage, and turn heel, is still one of the most shocking moments in Pro Wrestling history and it was certainly shocking to everyone who grew up watching Hogan at that point!!!

The whole angle worked well because everyone involved played their parts perfectly and knew how big this was going to be.

Whilst the nWo ran out of steam, by early 1999, this mixtape reminds us of just how amazing the beginning of it was and how this one angle helped WCW rule the Pro Wrestling world for the next 2 and a half years!!!

The birth of the New World Order may have happened 30 years ago but when you're nWo...you're nWo...FOR LIFE!!!
